We need not make an effort to be different; we are by listening to the truth.

Christians are not unique because God loves them, but they are unique because they have responded to His love. We are not set apart by the rules we keep, but by the truth we know and apply. Truth is and always has been the reason why the believer is unique or holy. Truth is always consistent with reality and will never be compatible with a redefined reality.
 
We need not make an effort to be different; we are by listening to the truth. Therefore, our goal is not being different; it is knowing and applying truth.
