Compromise of principle always leads to weakened resolve

So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, "Up! Get out of this place, for the Lord is about to destroy the city." But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.

So you want to get out of Sodom? Not so easy, is it?
Perhaps you should have thought about an exit strategy before you started. Obviously, Lot's lifestyle and previous discussions did not support the gravity of this situation. His future sons-in-laws thought he was kidding.

When the time comes for you to be serious about a situation that needs attention, will those who know and love you know you are serious? There will be a day when you will want out. How many casualties will be strewn about because you neglect God, family, and friends?

Compromise of principle always leads to weakened resolve and becomes the gateway to disaster. Therefore, I need to know the principles in God's Word and dedicate myself never to compromise, regardless of the apparent cost.

Hope in a King?

And the Lord said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.
