Life is about what we do just as much as what we say.

“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”
John 13:14-17 (ESV)
Jesus invited His disciples to follow him. Paul invited Timothy to follow him. Those who teach need to do more than exhort. They need to lead with their lives and know that God will hold them accountable for the example they gave.
Life is about what we do just as much as what we say. If the two are not in sync, we lose credibility and the privilege of demonstrating God's mercy and grace to the next generation.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness

Hope in a King?
