The Present Dangers
When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. The sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were frightened. But he said to them, "It is I; do not be afraid." Then they were glad to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.

Some things never change. When we see Christ, we will either be petrified or peaceful. Perhaps, like the disciples, we will need to be told to calm down because Jesus is our advocate, savior, and brother.
The present dangers in which we live are easy to see and quickly drive us to fear. Yet, during life's storms, we can choose to focus on the one capable of walking calmly through the storm. It is rather sad when the one who can bring us peace terrifies us. If that happens, we do not know Him, and the only solution is to get to know Him.
Those who know Christ act as if they know Him. It does not need to be more complicated than this.
