It is time we do what we should do.

When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, "Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt? Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness." And Moses said to the people, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent." The Lord said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward."
Exodus 14: 10-15

I could give you many reasons to fear this situation, yet God said to fear not. God seemed to get a little upset with Moses here and told him to quit moaning and tell the people to march into the sea.

Moses was learning that prayer is not a substitute for action, and action is not something that would trump God and His plans. God basically told Moses to stop praying and do what He was told.

Sometimes we pray about things for which God has already given us direction. Don't pray about marrying an unbeliever, using your money to be self-indulgent, or your authority to satisfy your comfort. God has already directed us in these areas, and you talking to others about praying about these things is akin to Moses moaning to God about Pharaoh's army when Moses knew what to do.

It is time we do what we should do. It is time to cease manipulating God and work on the plan He has already revealed to us. It is a time to stop excuses, stop moaning, and start living.

If you seek God, you will find Him. If you want to know His plan, He will reveal it to you, for He does not hide from those who genuinely want to know Him and follow Him.

Perhaps, for now, the choice is still yours.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
