God is at work.

"But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."
Luke 21:34-36

It is easy to get caught up in things that do not matter and find solace in things that do not last. “Matterless,” temporal things will never bring lasting satisfaction.

We may look important because we involve ourselves in the "cares of this life," when it is those very cares that keep us from focusing on the valuable.

God is at work today. He is preparing us and the world for the final battle, the ultimate victory and the wonderful restoration to the way it was meant to be. God come quickly.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
