Satisfaction?

Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. He went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers how he might betray him to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him money.
Luke 22:3-5 (ESV)

We often look for ways to "satisfy" ourselves in life. Often, we look forward to a dinner out, retirement, bonus checks, or vacations. For some reason, we think that wherever we are at, and whatever we are doing, cannot satisfy like something we do not have.

Enjoying God today and being content with where we are is the key to being satisfied in life.
There is nothing wrong with dining out, retirement, bonus checks, or vacations. However, when these things become what we look to for satisfaction in life, we will never be satisfied.

Judas is a prime example of this mistaken thinking, and a great example of how not to live.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
