Whenever we seem lost…
“But from there, you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice. For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.”
Deuteronomy 4:29-31 ESVST
There is a consistent message in the Bible. When you seek God, honestly seek Him, you will find Him. If you feel distant from God today, it is because you have not and are not seeking Him. If you think God has distanced Himself from you today, that is not the case, for, in reality, you have distanced yourself from Him. He has not moved, for He remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. You, however, are in constant motion.
Whenever we seem lost, it is wise to stop and regain a bearing on what we know. Then, we can start again with a realistic hope of getting to where we are going.
