Pretend or Real?

"'And you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'"

Lying seems to be the norm, not the exception. Those who lie are following the lead of Satan and his forces.
 
Jesus said this about those who were not really part of God's family: "You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies." John 8:44
Lying is a very serious problem in that it can injure those around us, and it begins to blur the lines of truth and lies in our own minds. There are many who have lied so often that they no longer know the difference between truth and lies.
 
Then, you add the many hours that we spend watching pretend plots in movies and television, and various presentations of "truth" on Facebook and YouTube, and you end up with a society that is hopelessly lost when it comes to knowing, much less living by the truth.

Hope in a King?

And the Lord said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.
