Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: "Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" John 12:37-38 (ESV) Some think that God performing miracles in the presence of unbelievers would convert them, and therefore look to God to change the world miraculously. Throughout Scripture, we see that God is constantly working miracles, and mankind forgets who He is. Miracles by themselves are entertaining, but not necessarily life-changing.
Today, miracles are just as evident as they were years ago.
