Enjoy Your Freedom

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said, "Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?" He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it. John 12:4-6 (ESV)
Imagine someone being in "ministry" because of what they get from the experience. Judas had a scam going that he, undoubtedly, thought could last a lifetime. He possibly saw Jesus as a "money machine," and thereby looked forward to "marketing" His "performances."
All ministries have business aspects that need maintenance. So we all need to give Caeser what is Caeser’s. But, we also need to continually remind ourselves what our existence as a ministry or business is about. Our most significant efforts need to be in matters of faith, love, and hope, and we should do this in the context of sound business practices.
Accountability is always necessary because we all sin, and the ramifications of sin are always devastating. Therefore, when we set up transparency and accountability, we position ourselves for the best possible outcome.
Jesus knew what Judas was doing. He, one day, would get his due. Jesus also knows what we are doing, and one day will declare that we finished well, or, perhaps, say nothing, for there are no secrets. Free people live in the truth, not in the deception. Enjoy your freedom!

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
