We will never regret loving God

Remember the word that I said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name because they do not know him who sent me.
John 15:20-21 (ESV)

Those who have the wrong expectations in life will struggle with life. What should we expect if we listen to God?

If we do all things right, love God, and love others, we should expect opposition. This sounds wrong, but it is proven repeatedly in Scripture and validated in life. Jesus was gossiped about, slandered, beaten, and crucified, while crowds watched in seeming amusement. His followers were rejected and killed.

God gives His children significance and security apart from conditions in this earthly war zone. When those who love God suffer, it is not for doing wrong; it is for living in a manner that reflects God's love, mercy, and grace to the universe. Satan loses when this happens, and he does not like losing.

We will never regret loving God, people and living in a way that demonstrates God's love, mercy, and grace. We will regret altering our course to avoid the temporary pain associated with this representation. But, for now, the choice is ours.
