Not Comfortable But Right!
When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
John 16:21-22 (ESV)
There are moments in life that seem most uncomfortable, yet when culminated, bring tremendous joy. The goal for pregnant moms is not to stay pregnant, but to deliver the baby and to do life together.
There is always change, inconvenience, and pain involved in life, and this pain yields tremendous joy. Those who love God and are used by Him will suffer just because they love God and are used by Him. However, in the end, the joy that comes to the obedient will far outweigh the pain, suffering, and inconvenience. Satan has long used comfort as a lure to bait us into adopting a meaningless life.
Loving God and obeying Him is not always the most comfortable thing we can do; however, it is always right.
