Truth Sets You Free

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
John 15:11 (ESV)
 
Jesus tells us the truth, so we can live in the context of the truth and enjoy the life with which He has gifted us. He did not share His opinions, ideas, or random thoughts; He shared the truth. Sometimes we think God desires to be a cosmic killjoy, when, in reality, He desires us to live in the context of how we were created. Those who insist that man should do what is right in their own eyes and ignore God's plan will prove God's Word to be correct. In addition, they will need to deal with the constant onslaught of depression, anxiety, and other ailments that reflect someone living outside the truth.
 
There are fruits of the Spirit, and if they are not being demonstrated, we embrace a lie and need to head back to the Scriptures to see what God has said, and adjust our lives accordingly.
Truth sets you free; it will never enslave you.

Watch Him Work

But David said to Abishai, "Do not destroy him, for who can put out his hand against the Lord's anointed and be guiltless?" And David said, "As the Lord lives, the Lord will strike him, or his day will come to die, or he will go down into battle and perish. "He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; against them he will thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed." 1 Samuel 2:9-10 (ESV)   There is no way to fight God, and one would be foolish to attempt such folly. Yet, some seem to be in a continual battle with the Almighty. You would think they would learn quickly the error of their ways.   Strength never determines victory; proximity does.
