Watch what you absorb.

Moses came and recited all the words of this song in the hearing of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun. And when Moses had finished speaking all these words to all Israel, he said to them, "Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law. For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess."
Deuteronomy 32:44-47 ESV

When I learn something, I need to apply it to myself and think about ways to pass this information on to the next generation. In fact, I need to think about ways to pass this on so that the next generation is excited about passing it on to the generations after them.

Truth should travel from parents to children to grandchildren to great-grandchildren and beyond. Moses teaches this in the Old Testament and Paul teaches the same principle in the New Testament. "You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV)

We must absorb truth today and heed the responsibility of giving it away, or face a future of futility because of our irresponsibility.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness

Hope in a King?
