Sad

And the LORD said to Moses, "Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers. Then this people will rise and whore after the foreign gods among them in the land that they are entering, and they will forsake me and break my covenant that I have made with them. Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, 'Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?' And I will surely hide my face in that day because of all the evil that they have done, because they have turned to other gods.’”
Deuteronomy 31:16-18 ESV

This has got to be one of the saddest portions of Scripture. God told Moses what would happen to those who forsake and break His covenant.

As sad as this message is, it is consistent with God's message throughout history. We have choices, and if we use our options to ignore God, we face consequences.
All those who choose to abandon God today will face the same consequences, and those who are not yet born will face the same because there is no way to enjoy a purposeful life if you avoid God.

Today, we face unprecedented mental illness, including depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. This would be a great time to repent, and, once again, walk with God to enjoy living life as it is meant to be.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness

Hope in a King?
