Merry Christmas

God knew our needs and met our needs by sending His Son to make way for us to join Him. This is extraordinary because God does not need us to be God or be successful, yet He wants to include us in all He does.

Jesus tells us, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:10-11 )

Jesus came so we could live life in the proper context. He came to give us abundant life, not a “coping life.”

Those who accept the gift of Jesus Christ also obtain the gift of abundant life both here on earth and for the eternities to come and are given the opportunity to live the intended way.

Apart from Christ, we have no way to live “abundantly” and will live meaningless lives that will yield a plethora of mental problems leading to a pandemic of anxiety, anger, depression, and hopelessness.

Let this be a year that we demonstrate what it looks like to live life in context and give hope to those around us because of the hope in us.

Merry Christmas.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
