God loves, so He gave.

He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:11-13 (ESV)

Choices. We have choices. To all those who receive Him, who believed in His name, they are the ones who have the right to be named as children of God. Their entrance into God's family has nothing to do with human heritage, and everything to do with God's mercy and grace.

Those who understand the sinful condition of man are positioned right to accept the grace of God. Those who try to make man "good" cannot grasp the idea of mercy or grace.

God loves, so He gave. As we love, we accept His love and gift. It is simple.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
