Some Are Not Welcomed

"…saying, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles. And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise.”    Mark 10:33-34 (ESV)
There is a way someone acts when they are living right. There is a way someone acts when they are living wrong. It is usually obvious.
Nobody lived a better life than Jesus, yet this is how He was going to be treated.  A pure life threatens those who live in impurity. A pure life indicts those living a compromised life without words. Therefore, for one to enjoy their sin to the fullest degree possible, those who make them feel bad about their choices must be eliminated.
Jesus spoke of this saying a prophet was not welcomed in his own country, meaning that those who tell you of what is to come as a result of your actions are not welcome to your party. It is too bad, for the message of the prophet gives life and hope, something of which partygoers are usually short.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
