Blend in?

For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you devoted to destruction.
Joshua 2:10 ESVST

Those who knew nothing about God had heard of Him. The Godless had encountered God through the lives of the Godly.

Sometimes, we work too hard to "relate" rather than be relational. We want to be friends more than mentors and team members more than coaches. We say we are concerned about offending when perhaps we are worried about being offended, slandered, or excluded.
The people of Jericho noticed that the children of Israel had a special relationship with God and wondered what that meant for them as they were going to encounter them.  I wonder if those strangers to God today observe those who love God and are puzzled by their thoughts, behaviors, and values or if they can tell no difference.  If we offer no alternative thoughts or actions, if we blend in and do not challenge Godless lifestyles by our lifestyle, then we provide the broken world nothing.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
