Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
John 11:25-26 (ESV)
 
In high school, we used to sing a song declaring that "Jesus is the answer for the world today." This was as true then as it is today and will be forever. We were not created to seek religion, power, authority, or status. Instead, we were made to seek Jesus.
 
Misery is cultivated by false hope. Those who place their hope in something rather than Jesus will be hopeless.
 
As my wife and I have been navigating cancer's ramifications, we are thankful for medical personal, medications, and medication’s technology. However, our hope is in God.
 
Certainly, God uses human innovation, gifts, and talents, yet ultimately, God gives and takes life. It is God who heals either on earth or in eternity. It is God who has numbered our days and is working His plan for our loved ones and us.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life, and those who believe in Him will never die.

Hope in a King?

And the Lord said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.
