Patient or Tolerant?


But Lot's wife, behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
Genesis 19:26

God is not tolerant; He is patient. Lot's wife found that out as she pushed Him towards tolerance.
Often we do the same. We count on God's mercy, while forgetting His justice. We rely on His patience, while forgetting His no-tolerance. We depend on Him understanding us, while we refuse to obey Him.

We can be most pathetic sometimes, and our self-absorbed ways will always cause destruction.

Hope in a King?

And the Lord said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.
