The lens of Scripture
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.
James 2:8-10 (ESV)
James is plain and straightforward with his words. If I show partiality, I am sinning.
We hear much about racism and equality issues today. These problems exist because we have treated people differently. We need to see all people as those God created and loves; all are the same, lost in sin and need of a Savior.
When we see people through the lens of Scripture, we treat all people the same. God's love for all is the same. God's plans are available to all; one day, all His children will dwell with Him for eternity.
