Steadfast. A quiet confidence that displays itself in confident actions. God is steadfast, and those who know and obey Him are steadfast. Steadfastness is a fruit of the Spirit that is wonderful to watch. Steadfast moments were enjoyed when David defeated Goliath, Noah's family sailed in th ark, and Caleb inhabited the mountain he waited 40 years to enjoy.
 
Life satisfaction comes after the demonstration of faith that no human can deliver and can only bloom in the fertile soil of adversity.
 
1 Corinthians 15:58 (ESV) Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

But David said to Abishai, "Do not destroy him, for who can put out his hand against the Lord's anointed and be guiltless?" Waiting often means waiting for something to be transferred to our control. We do not like things we cannot control.
