Unique

And the Lord spoke to Aaron, saying, "Drink no wine or strong drink, you or your sons with you, when you go into the tent of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. You are to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean, and you are to teach the people of Israel all the statutes that the Lord has spoken to them by Moses."
Leviticus 10:8

Is this a principle or just a concern for Aaron's family? Does this apply to all teachers of all times or just to Aaron's times? It seems as if those of us who are children of God are commanded continually throughout the Scriptures to be "holy," "set apart," or "unique."

So….where did this idea of living like the world so we can relate to the world come from? How can one who is holy also be unholy, or one who is set apart be put together with all the rest?

The Levites' uniqueness started when Moses came down the mountain and asked who would follow God, and they, as a group, responded. From that time on, they were a unique group.

How would you respond if you were asked about following God today? What would that mean in your day-to-day life?

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
