The Successful Life

His brothers also came and fell down before him and said, "Behold, we are your servants." But Joseph said to them, "Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones." Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
Genesis 50:18-21 (ESV)

Those who walk with God see the world differently than those who ignore Him. Those who love and obey God know sin, its devastation, and God's provisions for sinful man.
Joseph continued to focus on God, which meant he focused on mercy, not punishment. He became one who extended mercy, and then grace to his brothers, because it was the right thing to do, not because he wanted to please his dad.

Joseph's brothers did not understand him because they did not understand what it was to walk with God.

We travel this life and choose to use a divine or human viewpoint in all circumstances.
Because Joseph made the right decisions when he was young, his later years were blessed beyond comprehension.

I pray his life is a lesson to young Christians today on how to live a successful life.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
