Riches, in any form, are to be used, not loved.

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days.
James 5:1-3 (ESV)

Riches, in any form, are to be used, not loved. When they are loved, they are out of place and cause the "lover" to make poor decisions that affect this life forever.
 
Things that have corroded are things that have done nothing but sit. Our "riches" are to be achieving a purpose, not doing nothing, and those who leave them do nothing will one day have regrets.
