Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, 'He is our God.' But you have not known him. I know him. If I say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him, and I keep his word.” John 8:54-55 (ESV) The problem is simple. Those who accuse Jesus of being of the devil do not know Him. So, likewise, those who do not acknowledge Jesus as God's son do not know Him. Those who do not know Him are the ones who are of the devil. But, as usual, they see others the way they are. I've been told stories of Shamans in the jungles of South America who called God the enemy God because, in their world, He was the enemy. Here the religious people thought Jesus was evil when they themselves were evil. The problems today are the same problems that have been around since the beginning of time, and Satan works the same. Therefore, all who doubt God's authority will one day be regretful. The first step in living the way life is meant to be is acknowledging that there is a God and that we are not Him. What you believe about Jesus does not change who Jesus is, and those who create God will wish they spent time discovering Him. For now, the choice is ours. |
