Who do you say Jesus is?

Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."   Mark 16:14-16 (ESV)

All honest people need to ask themselves this question: “Who was Jesus?” Without a doubt He existed. He was born to Mary, lived, and died on a cross. His death was “unusual” and the amount of witnesses to both His death and resurrection were substantial.

It is easy to dismiss Him and His miracles as folklore, yet the dismissal does ignore the recorded and witnessed facts.

As C.S. Lewis once wrote, Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic, or God.

There were many who could not figure out who He was and who ignored Him throughout their lives. That may work for a bit, but it will not end well, for in the end, all men will declare that Jesus is God.

Who do you say Jesus is? Why?

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
