The next time you grumble…

And Moses said, "When the LORD gives you in the evening meat to eat and in the morning bread to the full, because the LORD has heard your grumbling that you grumble against him—what are we? Your grumbling is not against us but against the LORD."
Exodus 16:8 (ESV)

Misplaced responsibility causes many adverse issues. For example, Moses is not God, yet he is being blamed for executing God's commands. Ultimately, it is my responsibility to know God. I trust Him when I know Him, and understanding Him is not as important.

Grumblers are those who think that different circumstances can change the way they think and feel. But unfortunately, they do not realize that the fuel for grumbling is how they think and feel.
The way we think and feel comes from that on which we focus. If we focus on our comfort, we believe that anything that challenges our comfort needs to change, or we can never be comfortable again.

The children of Israel were focused on food and comfort, which made them forget the slavery from which they were being freed.

The next time you grumble, refocus on who God is, what He is capable of, and what He could be doing through the inconvenient circumstances you have encountered.

One day, we answer to God.

It is good that God does not depend upon our ability, faith, or goodness
