Ignoring the obvious.

And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
Matthew 6:27 (ESV)

What does anyone gain by being anxious? If being anxious is meaningless, why do so many suffer from its consequences?

Most teachings in the Bible are obvious. Those who ignore the obvious suffer from their ignorance.

There is a God, who created us, loves us, and gives us a planned purpose and hope. If I choose not to know Him and the apparent truths of Scripture, I choose to live an anxious life.

Hope in a King?

And the Lord said to Samuel, "Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.
