Limited Understanding

But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God.' He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.
Ezekiel 3:27 (ESV)
 
There is a strong theme at the beginning of this book that centers on God being God and Ezekiel needing to listen to Him. Once again, Ezekiel is reminded of the source of his authority. He is to declare that God is speaking, and by that, silence those who oppose God's truth.
 
There is no other name in the universe that has more power and authority than God. If God has said something, all others who speak on the subject must be in line with what He has said, or they will be wrong. We need to be careful when using His name, and why, early in history, we are warned against using it in vain.
 
All my words come from my limited understanding of all things. All God's words come from His perfect and limitless understanding of all things. That's just the way it is.

It seems as if we have minimized the Holy Spirit in the Evangelical community in the United States. We have replaced Him with good things, things that He could use, but things that have indeed replaced Him. Instead of counting on the Spirit of God to lead our leaders we count on the majority. Just Listen

As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. John  17:18-19  (ESV)   Jesus was sent to earth on a mission, and He is sending us on a mission as well. Our mission is not to make this place our home; instead, it is to use the gifts God gave us to participate with Him in the fight and ultimate victory.   For this to happen, we need to know Him, obey Him, and represent Him to our world. I Must Listen

He said to me, 'It is Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. I will establish his kingdom forever if he continues strong in keeping my commandments and my rules, as he is today.'
