There is a price we pay for disobedience.

How lonely sits the city that was full of people! How like a widow has she become, she who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces has become a slave. Lamentations 1:1-2 (ESV)   Going from a full city to an empty one can be scary. Silver Birch Ranch often has several hundred people on our grounds. In the summer, the kitchen cooks three meals a day, often for 400 plus people. The sights and sounds of people are everywhere, and the campers' excitement is electrifying.   Then, one day late summer, most everyone goes home.
