Jesus Is Truth


In the same way Sanballat for the fifth time sent his servant to me with an open letter in his hand. In it was written, "It is reported among the nations, and Geshem also says it, that you and the Jews intend to rebel; that is why you are building the wall. And according to these reports you wish to become their king. And you have also set up prophets to proclaim concerning you in Jerusalem, 'There is a king in Judah.' And now the king will hear of these reports. So now come and let us take counsel together."
Nehemiah 6:5-7 (ESV)
 
When other forms of discouragement fail, lies or innuendos spread amongst many to accomplish the goal. If many will believe the lie, then perhaps the lie is true. (Obviously not!)
 
Lying is Satan's native language. In the end, all that destroys stems from a lie somewhere. Truth sets us free; lies make us captives to the liar. The only way to see the difference is to know the truth.
 
Jesus is truth. Satan is lies. Jesus says it the way it is. Satan says it the way it benefits himself. For now, the choice of who to listen to is yours.

Doing right, right.

And there was war again. And David went out and fought with the Philistines and struck them with a great blow, so that they fled before him. Then a harmful spirit from the Lord came upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand. And David was playing the lyre. And Saul sought to pin David to the wall with the spear, but he eluded Saul, so that he struck the spear into the wall. David was a man after God's own heart, a faithful soldier, a good friend, and generally, one who could be trusted.
