Overwhelmed

…and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord, "For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever," the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

It was the duty of those who played the trumpet and sang to make themselves heard. They were to present the music in a captivating and compelling way. When the people who served in the house of the Lord heard such things and saw God's presence, they were overwhelmed.
 
Those who truly see God are overwhelmed by Him. Those who experience His mercy and grace are overwhelmed by Him. Those who have seen God work through the years are overwhelmed by Him.
 
Overwhelmed is the proper response to those who know, obey, and are a part of God's work.
