God is the source of peace and order, not confusion.

Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and wandering all the precious things that were hers from days of old. When her people fell into the hand of the foe, and there was none to help her, her foes gloated over her; they mocked at her downfall.

Those who are confused often make fun of those who are clear-thinking. As misery loves company, the confused, too, love company. Those who think clearly are in grave danger if they continually look to the confused for affirmation. Confused people act confused, and do whatever they must to normalize their confusion, making chaos normal.
 
God is the source of peace and order, not confusion. We crave peace, security, and significance, all things that are the fruit of clarity. For now, the choice is ours.

It seems as if we have minimized the Holy Spirit in the Evangelical community in the United States. We have replaced Him with good things, things that He could use, but things that have indeed replaced Him. Instead of counting on the Spirit of God to lead our leaders we count on the majority. Just Listen

As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. John  17:18-19  (ESV)   Jesus was sent to earth on a mission, and He is sending us on a mission as well. Our mission is not to make this place our home; instead, it is to use the gifts God gave us to participate with Him in the fight and ultimate victory.   For this to happen, we need to know Him, obey Him, and represent Him to our world. Listen

You shall therefore keep my statutes and my rules; if a person does them, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.' Leviticus 18:5   When a person begins to understand that they need not completely understand God to obey God, they begin to understand. This command is more than just a directive for us to observe; it is the key to a meaningful life.   What is being said here is plain and simple. For those who choose to keep the statutes and rules of God, those statutes and regulations will be the cause of life, real life. Think of how consistent this message is.
